It doesnt 'rightfully belong' to anyone yet.

In yesterdays Charlotte Observer, an article was printed that some Indiana voters would stay home if Barrack Obama was denied a nomination that was "rightfully his".

Im curious. When, exactly, did this happen? While he does hold a lead over Clinton, it is in no way shape or form "his" nomination. Its not like the last time, when the Indiana and North Carolina Primaries(along with five other states held in weeks following) didnt mean anything because the Democratic Candidate has long since been decided by the time it got to us. Including the two primaries held Tuesday, theres still seven more states to get for the Democratic nomination.
In order to win, a candidate needs 2025 delegates to win the nom. Neither of them are there yet.

In all honesty, Id be surprised if Clinton manages to overtake Obama. Clinton got Pennsylvania, but not by much, she only got 10 more delegates than he did. The entire race has been something like this. Sure, one candidate technically "won", but the difference in delegates has only been a few. Hell, in Delaware, Obama was proclaimed the "winner" yet they both got 9 delegates (though three of Clintons were Supers). Obama's managed to get just enough of an upper hand so far. Clinton is over 100 votes behind. At this point, if theres any hope for her, she'd have to do a lot more than just "win" a state. She'd have to take it by a damn big margin, something a little more than 55/45 or 60/40 even. Itll be tough, but who knows? Anything can happen.

Theres still 717 delegates up for grabs before either of them can 'rightfully' claim it. Patience, people. Its just one more month.
